Maintenance Officer
About the Role
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Inspects building daily to determine needed repairs.
• Investigates, diagnoses, performs, documents, and completes work orders.
• Maintains building, performing minor and routine repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoots and repairs cell doors, locks, sliders, light fixtures, grid ceilings, air handling units, equipment, piping, valves, filters, etc.
• Patches concrete and paints.
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Develop creative solutions for unique issues.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May supervise inmate trustees.
• Experience - NONE REQUIRED
• PREFERRED: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, ICON Water Management, Siemens Desigo, Boiler License, Steam
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Complete/pass background check and drug screening.
- No felony conviction.
- Ability to work in loud and sometimes chaotic environment.
- Applicants will be invited to complete a personal history questionnaire through Guardian Alliance Technology.
- Available to work days, nights, weekends, holidays or other special shifts.
